Minimum Requirements for Admission to Graduate Program:

To be considered for admission to SDSU, Graduate applicants must meet the minimum CSU eligibility requirements and SDSU requirements listed in the Graduate Bulletin as well as the requirements for the specific degree or credential program they are applying to. SDSU does not admit second baccalaureate degrees.

The Department of Geological Sciences requires:

  1. Undergraduate gpa 2.85 or higher
  2. Combined Verbal and Quantitative GRE score of 1000
Fall Deadline
Domestic Applicants: May 1
International Applicants: May 1

Spring Deadline
Domestic Applicants: November 1
International Applicants: October 1
