What To Do When (Check List)

Freshman (0 - 29 semester unit)

Sophomore (30 - 59 semester units)

  • Start the sequence of core classes in the Fall Semester, Geol 200, 205, and 221
  • Complete General Education and Preparation for the Major courses.
  • Visit your Major Advisor (Jared Morrow) to plan your upper division course schedule.

Junior (60 - 89 semester units)

Senior (90 or more semester units)

  • Confirm your schedule with your Major Advisor (Jared Morrow).
  • Have a Thesis Advisor and Topic, complete the 498B Form
  • Obtain a copy of your degree evaluation to make sure you will qualify for graduation.
  • File for graduation as early as possible.
  • Talk to your Major Advisor (Jared Morrow) about job opportunities or graduate school.
  • Attend a career fair on campus.
