Welcome to the online summer 2009 Geology 303 - Natural Disasters class. As stated in the homepage, all of the material that you will need to successfully complete this course can be found at this web site. If you live in or near the campus, then you will be required to take three exams at SDSU. These exams will consist of about 100 questions which will be in the following format: multiple choice, fill-in, labeling of illustrations, short answers, and a few true/false. In addition, there will be at least one essay question, requring a 1 to 2 paragraph written response. If you live out of San Diego County, and can’t make the scheduled exams at San Diego State, then you have the alternative of sending me the name and address of a proctor for your exams. The exam schedule is or will be posted in the online syllabus, and I recommend that you tell your potential proctor that the exams will be mailed to them via registered mail about 7 days prior to the scheduled exam date. Please note that I will not send any exams to home addresses, and that your proctor may not be related to you in any way. After I receive the contact information from you, then I will contact your chosen proctor via regular mail, phone, or email.
